Sarah Marsh
High toned with spice, touch of anise, and such a lift. Intense, ripe black forest fruit on the attack. So much concentration of fruit, balanced with freshness (low yields, 20/ hl/ha less than in 2010, in 2012 they have more for tamisot!) maybe 2012 more. The tannins are supple and spicy and there is a liquorish note on the finish. Top notch village wine. Outperforms its appellation. Very old vines planted in 1922 and the ‘young’ vineyard after the war, as some were taken out to plant potatoes during the war. Just 13 barrels made.
