Not just the man who killed Macbeth, Macduff is also a Speyside distillery which sits at the mouth of the river Deveron looking out into the Moray Firth. It sometimes masquerades as Glen Deveron. Founded in the early 60s, for a long time (until the current rash of new distilleries) it was one of Scotland`s youngest. A lighter side of Speyside, this is relatively young but stunningly pretty - the aromas are redolent of a fine Sauternes. (NT 22/02/17)
