Big, perfumed Margaux bouquet. Mass of ripe black fruits, violets and minerals. Great concentration, depth & length. Lots of cassis & raspberry character on the palate, good structure and a fine well balanced finish. This wine is really exciting. full, fresh, and feminine. Pound for pound one of our most highly recommended wines of the vintage. (TJ 10/05/06)

Robert Parker
The 2005 is one of the finest efforts from this property in over twenty years. A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the wine’s dense plum/purple color is followed by smoky aromas of incense, blue fruits as well as black currants, cedar, and a hint of dried herbs. Medium-bodied, moderately tannic, savory, and concentrated, it will require 2-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for a decade or more. 87-89 points
