Mostly made from Merlot in the home of the grape variety, the wine is as picturesque as the region. Very versatile and goes with many foods. It is also fully mature and has spicy, gamey flavours and would be a fantastic accompaniment to the festive bird of whatever species. Its plummy fruit is smooth and full bodied. (CW 23/11/21)
