Beautifully matured in the Uncorked reserves, where this case lay undiscovered for a few years before an over-enthusiastic new employee dug it out, we were worried this wine would have suffered from its time in the wilderness. It is, however, rather lovely, in a delicate, gently aromatic style - the fruit has taken on a soft, slightly over-ripe character, but the wine still retains freshness and some varietal character. A delightful treat for fans of old white Bordeaux. This wine dates back to before the vineyard was purchased by Francois Pinault, owner of Chateau Latour in Pauillac. (JH 02/07/2021)
