Fully mature at 22 years of age, but still powerful, with cassis, wormwood, bitter cherry, cigar-box and stewed blackberries on the aromas. The palate is super-mellow, softened by age, with prune, dried plum and stewed raisins, remarkably fresh. A rare find, superb value for a wine with this much bottle-age. (JH 11/06/2024)
