2013 Crittenden Estate Peninsula Pinot Noir

Crittenden occupies a hillside site on Mornington Peninsula, one of Australia`s cooler spots - Tasmania is the next and last stop on the way to Antarctica. Massaged by the sea breezes, they are well suited to the making of cool climate varietals like Pinot Noir. Respectful vineyard management including minimal use of chemicals, cover crops, composting and recycled water are not only environmentally friendly, but they build resistance in the vines. The Peninsula Estate Pinot walks the fine ground between being a fruit driven and a more complex, structured wine. (NT 20/08/15)
