Ian D`Agata
Deep red. Deep aromas and flavors of red cherry, raspberry jam, smoke and tropical chocolate, complemented by sexy oak tones. Then rich without showing any undue weight on the palate, combining density, impressive intensity of flavor and strong vinosity. This very young wine finishes smooth and long, with fine-grained tannins and subtle notes of violet and herbs. This actually strikes me as being much better than the 2010 Rosso made here (strangely enough, since 2010 is the much better vintage) and is, in my view, one of the three best Rossos of the year. 91 points
