Le Potazzine’s 2011 Rosso di Montalcino is quite pretty. Savory herbs, cedar, tobacco, mint and underbrush notes all come alive in the glass. The warmth of the vintage has given the Rosso an additional dimension of volume and breadth, yet the firm sense of structure typical of this part of the zone remains. All in all, this is a harmonious and nicely balanced wine from proprietors Giuseppe and Gigliola Gorelli. Drink 2013-2018. 88 points
