Including a comprehensive course manual, this course introduces you to tasting technique, growing grapes and making wine and takes you on a gallop around the world. You'll get to know the character of the main grape varieties and producing countries as well be entertained and enlightened by our tutors. We taste six wines per session.

Europe's largest country makes some of the most sought after cars in the world and is the world leader in organic agriculture, yet its wines are scorned. Austria gave us much more than the waltz and the von Trapp family and its wines are hardly known at all. We’ll explore both countries and their wines in this course and try and leave our prejudices at reception! /CW

Spain and Portugal - the wines of the Iberian Peninsula

This course looks at some of the world’s overlooked, geographically isolated and extreme wines. You will discover overlooked wines such as great reds from Hungary and explore biodynamic practice and self-styled natural winemakers. Natural wine is the current darling of the wine journalists and here is a chance to taste what is exciting them so much. This is definitely a course where you check your preconceptions at the door. /CW
