Free tasting at our Bishopsgate shop, Friday 11 March, 12-7pm

At Uncorked, we're still pretty enchanted by our old favourites (i.e. Burgundy, Bordeaux, Piedmont, etc). It sometimes takes us a few more sceptical moments to jump on a bandwagon, or get behind a new sommelier's darling. So it may have been when every wine bar in the country was gushing over gruner veltliner last summer. Well, we've finally had a chance to taste through some of the best Austrian producers and as a result, our Austrian range has more than trebled - from two to seven wines. A selection will be on tasting this Friday, for free, from noon until 7pm. Come and see for yourself that there is more to this country than last summer's trendiest grape. /CC
