Uncorked:

It offers forest fruits, toasty oak and good weight, and will be delicious young.

Neal Martin:

Tasted at Château Grand Puy Lacoste. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, picked 24th September and ending on 7th October. This has a slightly leafy nose, open-knit, quite smoky and just a little rustic. The palate is medium-bodied, the tannins just a little hard at first, but fresh and unprepossessing. Tannic and masculine with a saline/savoury tang on the finish. Moderate length. Rather conservative at the moment. Tasted March 2010. 86-88 points

James Suckling:

Sweet berry and coffee aromas with hints of Chinese tea. Medium bodied with lovely sweet fruit and a balance of fine tannins. Clean and pretty. Second wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
