Uncorked:

Given half a chance, when looking for an everyday, all purpose wine, a very decent Cotes du Rhone will usually be found high on the short list. L`Espigouette (French for a small tap) fits the bill perfectly having perfume on the nose, together with black and blue; though not bruised fruit. On the palate the wine is as dry as it should be and tastes rather more of Morello cherries. Excellent value for money. (CW 20/02/09)
