Allen Meadows:
This is still very primary as only aggressive swirling can liberate the reluctant nose of pear, mango, peach, oak and floral aromas. The big, opulent and ultra-intense broad-based flavors also remain extremely backward and tight yet the palate staining finish is hugely persistent. This border-line massive effort will require the better part of a decade to reach its full apogee but should be well worth the wait as the underlying material is most impressive. 93-96 points
Neal Martin:
This has really blossomed since I tasted this wine in January. The 2009 already has a lucid, deep hue that pre-empts what is a rich Montrachet. It possesses a spellbinding bouquet with a complex symphony of almond, custard crème and a touch of orange sorbet and white peach. The palate demonstrates thrilling balance underpinned by racy acidity, a fine citric thread, a Montrachet armed with a sorbet-like freshness. Tasted October 2011. 96 points
