Allen Meadows:
From Chapelle proper. A very ripe and pretty nose of plum and dark berry fruit liqueur aromas
introduces pure and quite fine middle weight flavors that possess excellent richness, indeed to the point where the mouth feel
of the finish is velvety as there is an abundance of tannin-buffering extract. This solidly structured and well-concentrated effort
possesses fine balance and outstanding length plus it should amply reward long-term cellaring. 2025+. 91-94 points
Sarah Marsh:
The MLF finished much earlier in the spring.
Very aromatic. Quite high toned with some flowers; white flower and a hint of violets. This is
intense, but quite delicate. Very finely textured. A fretwork. It has an airy character. I like the
energy and it has a fine, white talcy minerality. The texture is very smooth and silky on the
finish. Lovely pure and flowing finish. From 2018. Fine++. 18.75-19 points
