My favourite Beaujolais village with the wines from here always having, it seems to me, more of that elusive `energy` we all seem to look for these days. The iron rich decayed granite of the Cote de Py plays a big part in this and is why it is one of the best terroirs in the region. Laurent and Florence Guillet are the other reasons. their hard work and dedication are outstanding. The wine is fresh yet mouthfilling with a fine texture, while the minimalist winemaking ensures that nothing gets between you and the best Gamay grapes in the business. A perfect combination of vineyard and dedicated winegrower. (CW 21/11/11)
