Uncorked:

Cherry fruit. Full of creamy, soft mineral character. Touch of lees on finish. (CW 25/10/11)

Sarah Marsh:

Dark, crushed red velvet aroma. (Ghislaine says it was even more open a week ago, but this is pretty expressive to me) There is plenty of concentration and ripeness here. Very rich and dense, but not tight. Full middle palate. Thicker and richer tannins. Slightly exotic with notes of violets and a just a touch of creamy chocolate. The finish is very long, somewhat spicy and full of fruit. Rich, but also very, very fresh. It is a contained and channeled richness. A very good year for this cru as the balance of intensity, richness and freshness is here. From 2016. Fine+, 18.25 points
