John Livingstone-Learmonth:
(2 year 400-litre oak from Le Tinal, the Chaillées part of it, doing its malo, 3-4 gm of sugar still to ferment) *** pretty nose – graceful, rounded fruit, pear. The palate is extending well, has heart. Apricot, dried fruits flavour. Wholesome and promising. (3 year 400-litre oak, the 20% Le Riollement, doing its malo) ***(*) reserved, airy nose, runs on mineral finesse more than overt fruit. Has a fine line of flavour, attractive finesse and length. This has lot going for it, including STGT features. Overall. ***(*) STGT wine, with great appeal, but a line of finesse also. Life of 7 years. Tasted Nov 2009.
